Finer was founded by Alex and Ziyang, a couple who met unexpectedly in the Dubai desert and have been building things together ever since. Finer is their third project together, and the most personal one so far.
After years of learning how to work together, build together, and create value for others, Finer became a reflection of what they believe in most: love, commitment, personal expression, and meaningful things made with care.
Our mission is to help people express their deepest love and tell their story through something uniquely beautiful, personal, and everlasting. Our work is particularly rewarding because we get to work with the people who want to express something meaningful and share their stories with us. Whether it’s a new love story or a couple who have been together for decades, it always brings us warmth. That is why we do what we do.
quality without compromise
Ziyang trained at the IGI, the International Gemological Institute, in jewellery design. After visiting many of the lab-grown diamond factories and exhibitions, only two out of more than a dozen suppliers made the cut. They were chosen for their consistency, ethical sourcing standards, and perfectionist approach to craft.
Our pieces are shaped through trusted makers in Hong Kong, one of the world’s great centres for fine jewellery. Every material is selected with care, every stone is chosen with intention, and every design is refined around the person it is made for.

Designing fine jewellery can feel overwhelming, especially when the piece carries emotional importance. A large selection of stones, metals of different purity and alloy content that will influence the physical properties, longevity, and the overall look of the piece, craftsmanship details, and countless design choices all make it more challenging to design what you really want to create. We make the process simple.
Every Finer order starts with a one-on-one conversation, whether through a chat, a video call, or an appointment in your city. We talk through your ideas, look at references, understand the person behind the piece, and guide you through each decision with clarity and care.
Some clients come to us with a clear vision. Others only know the feeling they want to create. Both are welcome. You can be as involved as you wish. Some people enjoy every detail of the design journey and make it a special activity for couples. Others prefer to leave the technical aspects to us and focus on the meaning behind the piece. Our role is to make the experience simple, enjoyable and memorable, so you can focus on the relationship and the emotion you want to express.

Our team is devoted to careful quality control throughout the entire process, from sourcing and stone selection to design refinement, production, setting, polishing, packaging, and delivery. Finer has no physical shop and no plans to open one. Our lean, online-first, direct-to-client structure allows us to offer jewellery around 10–20% more accessible than comparable Australian brands, with zero compromise to quality level.
Most clients find us through word of mouth. Many have become real friends along the way. Our relationship does not end at delivery. We stay in touch, provide aftercare, and remain available for future advice, adjustments, and new pieces.
